AnnotationBooks and archival documents should be kept free of dust. It is abrasive, cause soiling and chemical decomposition, attracts insects and promotes the growth of mould. Dry cleaning equipment may consist of simple brushes, erasers, vacuum cleaners, compressed air, etc. However, predominantly only coarse particles are removed by these methods. An alternative method of cleaning using a high-speed CO2 snow jet was investigated in this study.
