Studie se zabývá reflexí gnostického myšlení v obou románech, jež je přítomno v prvku tranzitního prostoru mezi životem a smrtí, smrtí narativního subjektu jako předpokladu vyprávění o (e)migraci a oscilaci mezi identitou a alteritou. Text vychází z podrobné komparativní analýzy obou děl s akcentem na jejich filozofický podtext. Román S. Taubesové je interpretován jako příklad „estetického“ gnosticismu, román M. Rybakovové jako příklad „okultního“ gnosticismu.

The text considers reflection of gnostic thinking in both the novels, in which gnosticism constitutes transit space between life and death and forms a prerequisite for the telling about (i)mmigration and vacillation between identity and alterity. The text proposes a detailed comparative analysis of both the novels, which concentrates mainly on their philosophical subtext. S. Taubes's novel is beside other tings interpreted as an example of „aesthetic“ gnosticism, though M. Rybakova´s novel is classified as a type of „occultist“ gnosticism
