Práce se zabývá možnou astronomickou orientací nedávno objevené románské rotundy sv. Václava na Malostranském náměstí v Praze. Bylo zjištěno, že v době postavení rotundy její osa směřovala k bodu západu Slunce na ideálním horizontu jak při podzimním svátku sv. Václava (28. září), tak i při jarním svátku Přenesení jeho ostatků (4. března).

A possibility of astronomical orientation of the recently found Romanesque rotunda of St. Wenceslas on the Malostranské square in the Lesser Town of Prague is investigated. It is found that in the time of construction of the rotunda, its axis pointed to the direction of sunset on ideal horizon in both the autumnal St. Wenceslas Day (September 28) as well as at the spring feast of Translation of his relics (March 4).
