AnnotationHigh power impulse magnetron sputtering (HiPIMS) of a cobalt cathode in argon gas was investigated by time-resolved electrical (Langmuir) probe diagnostics and by time-integrated energy-resolved mass spectrometry. The HiPIMS discharge was operated with a bipolar pulsed power supply.
