Soupis (2 201 záznamů) byl proveden formou dotazníku na základě spolupráce mezi Ústavem dějin umění AV ČR a Odborem archivní správy a spisové služby Ministerstva vnitra České republiky. Integrace epigrafických a sepulkrálních památek do jednoho soupisu vyplývá z badatelské praxe. Do soupisu se zapojilo 61 archivářů z celkem 48 archivů. Úvodní články shrnují disciplinární kontext a přínos soupisu a průběh prací. Soupis má sloužit jak dějinám umění a epigrafickému výzkumu, tak obecným a regionálním dějinám a jiným disciplínám.

The inventory (2,201 records) was conducted in questionnaire form on the basis of cooperation between the Institute of Art History CAS and the Department of Archiving Administration and Filing Service of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic. The integration of the epigraphic and sepulchral monuments into one inventory arises from research experience. A total of 61 archivists from a total of 48 archives took part in the inventory. The introductory articles summarize the disciplinary context and the contribution of the inventory and the course of work. The inventory is to serve both the art history and epigraphic research, as well as general and regional history and other disciplines.
