AnnotationThe effect of processing conditions on microstructure and mechanical properties of mechanically alloyedFe20Al20Si (wt%) intermetallic compound was examined. The microstructure, phase composition and mechanicalproperties after various durations of mechanical alloying were characterized and optimum conditions of mechanicalalloying were used for spark plasma sintering. Spark plasma sintering parameters were also optimised so thatcorrectly sintered samples preserved phase composition and mechanical properties of milled powders.
