Description in English The workshop was dedicated to the question what are the conditions and means for an ego, an I to manifest itself in language. Are these means exclusively historic, embedded in a particular language or are there universal forms which express the subjectivity? To answer the question, the participants took mostly as a starting point the texts of Émile Benveniste, a French linguist who was examining the language from the perspective of the speaking subject.
