AnnotationThe article demonstrates the results of 2D and 3D Particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations in enhancing charge and decreasing divergence of laser-accelerated ion beams by advanced target designs and by changeable laser features (e.g. laser beam width, two laser beams having the same on- target energy as a single one), which can be useful for various applications.
