AnnotationIn this study, we present a sensor based on a bulk acoustic quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) piezoelectric device coated with nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) as a sensitive layer for detection of adsorbed proteins. Three kinds of proteins were tested (FBS, BSA, FN). The higher frequency shift in serial resonance almost 650 Hz was observed for sensor with double side FBS coating. Moreover, oxygen terminated surfaces exhibited higher shift in frequency for single side covered QCM sensors, than the hydrogenated surfaces.
