Work contains first analysis of high-frequency quasi-coherent oscillations recently observed in H-modes both ohmic and NBI-heated plasmas of tokamak COMPASS. Frequency of these oscillations is typically in 70-250 kHz range and poloidally localized either on LFS of HFS. Preliminary observations of global parameteric scaling of mode frequencies, as well as linear MHD simulations (KINX code) identify HFS oscillations with Toroidal-Alfven Eigenmodes (TAE), and LFS oscillations with beta-induced Alfven-eigenmodes (BAE). Additionally, other MHD modes, such as tearing and kink modes are identified in COMPASS plasma as well.
