An experimental proof of a novel higher harmonic separation optics is presented. The higher harmonic separator is a Si crystal cut in an inclined geometry. Due to the inclined geometry, the impinging beam undergoes a diffractive-refractive effect. Due to the dispersive nature of X-ray refraction a beam containing higher harmonics is after the separator spatially broken down into single diffraction spots. Each spot corresponding to the fundamental energy and its multiples. An X-ray image is presented, where a 7 keV energy beam is spatially separated into a 7 keV diffraction spot and a 21 keV third harmonic diraction spot by 0.35 mm.
