The chapter focuses on teachers and teacher educators as key players in the further development of the mathematics teaching profession. The use of action research in mathematics teacher education is analysed. The key notion is (critical) reflection. General considerations on characteristics and aspects of action research are combined with examples from two countries.

V kapitole je ukázána klíčová role učitele a "vzdělavatele učitelů" v dalším rozvíjení profese učitele. Je analyzován akční výzkum v přípravě učitelů matematiky. Jsou uvedeny obecné úvahy vztahující se k vymezení a aspektům akčního výzkumu v kombinaci s ukázkami ze dvou zemí.
