The study is aimed at using an absorbing beam to reduce the dynamicresponse on bridges subjected to high speed trains. Based on analyticalapproach, the theoretical model composed of a double beam system undera sequence of moving loads is employed to derive the closed formsolutions for the dynamic response of the main beam.
