Unfortunately, modulation artifacts, attributed to B 0 oscillation due to gradients, may severely corrupt the spectra on some scanners. Furthermore, sufficient accuracy of water line fitting, necessary for quantitation, gas been found very hard to achieve. Two approaches capable of delivering good spectra are demonstrated. Both employ summing the signals acquired with and without prelocalization water inversion, and eliminate the modulation by FID-modulus FT or by reference-based phase correction.
