Intraspecific effects of oviposition-deterring tracks of first instars were statistically significant after 10 days in Cycloneda limbifer Casey and after 30 days in Semiadalia undecimnotata(Schneider), but disappeared after one day in Coccinella septempunctata L. Females of C. septempunctata avoided oviposition on sites with larval tracks of the chrysopid Chrysopa oculata Say after 10 days, with tracks of the chrysopid Chrysopa perla (L.) after 30 days.
