AnnotationThe off-line approach is based on selective sorption of sublimate on a raw alumina sorbent and elemental mercury sorption on a gold-coated alumina sorbent. The selectivity of on-line approach is controlled by temperature of the atomizer or the gas inlet line. At lower temperature around 150°C only elemental mercury is detected whereas both Hg species – elemental mercury and sublimate - are measured at 900°C.
