Description in English The article presents a short reflection on a considerably politicized court case against Polish historians Jan Grabowski and Barbara Engelking from February 2020, which garnered much media attention in Poland. The article argues that even if the historians may have left certain inaccuracies in their work, it is not the task of courts to decide what the “historical truth” is.
