AnnotationThe cultivation of perspective microalgal strains was scaled-up in semi-industrial pilot scale bioreactors (150 L volume), thus, nutraceutical products based on algae could be launched to the market together with new types of industrial bioreactors. Simultaneously, economic aspects of the production of individual products were surveyed. Therefore, heterotrophic cultivation of algae on glycerol as a waste material in the processing of animal fats and using hydrolysates of animal wastes as nitrogen sources were also tested, similarly to the utilization of combustion gases from biogas cogeneration units as a source of carbon dioxide.
