For nomenclatural stability, in particular for ensuring the continued application of the widely used and generally accepted names C. ficifolium and C. giganteum, it would be useful to reject the confusing name Atriplex bengalensis (Chenopodium bengalense) that was not in use until its recent conflicting lecto and epitypification and consequent nomenclatural resurrection.
