Mezi nejstarší česká slova z 13. století patří mj. právní termín potejdych (odvozeno ze střhn. banteiding 'soudní jednání'); později však zcela mizí. Užívá se jako ekvivalent za střlat. iudicium maius. Definujeme jej jako soudní pravomoc pro souzení závažných zločinů projednávaných v stanovený den.
The oldest Czech words from the 13th century include among others a legal term potejdych (derived from the Middle German banteiding 'judicial proceeding'); it leaves totally later. It is used as an equivalent of the Middle Latin iudicium maius. We define it as an iudicial power for judging of the hard crimes heard at the appointed day.
