Cílem studie je představit fotografické archiválie ve fondech Archivu Akademie věd ČR, popsat míru poškození těchto archiválií během povodně v roce 2002, zhodnotit záchranné práce po povodni a následné restaurování poškozených fotografií. Spolupráce archivářů a restaurátorů má význam pro optimalizaci odborné péče o fotografické materiály, prevenci archiválií v budoucnu a volbu relevantního přístupu při jejich ukládání a předkládání badatelům.

The aim of this study is to present the photographic archives in the ASCR fonds, to describe the extent of damage to these archives during the floods in 2002, to assess the rescue work after the floods and the subsequent restoration of the damaged photographs. Collaboration between archivists and restorers is of importance to optimize the specialist care of photographic material, the protection of archive material in future and the selection of relevant procedures for their storage and presentation to researchers.
