AnnotationThis paper describes detection of microcystin (MC) using a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor. MC is a cyanotoxin produced by several bloom-forming cyanobacteria genera. It was demonstrated that the reported SPR biosensor is capable of fast and sensitive detection of MCs in drinking water samples, below the provisional guideline value proposed by the World Health Organization for drinking water.
