AnnotationThis paper reviews principles of the main types of optical label-free affinity biosensors. Special attention is given to optical biosensors based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) which represent the most advanced and developed optical label-free biosensor technology. Selected results of SPR sensor research at the Institute of Photonics and Electronics, Prague are presented.
