Autor byl jako mladý inženýr vyzván, aby vyšetřil příčinu náhlých výskytů četných poruch převodových skříní proslulých sovětských tanků T34, vyráběných tehdy v pražském koncernu ČKD. Vedení výrobního závodu bylo nařčeno ze sabotáže. Řešení tohoto problému vedlo k nečekaným objevům.
As a young research engineer, the author was invited to analyse causes of a sudden occurrence of numerous gearbox failures in the famous Soviet T34 tanks, produced at that time in the Czechoslovak ČKD Corporation, whose management was accused of sabotage. The solution of this problem resulted in expected findings.
