    Platinum has recently been studied as promoter of the Mo sulfide phase. Lately we found that a Pt-Mo/alumina catalyst exhibited unusual activity features. In comparison to conventional CoMo and NiMo catalysts, the HDN of pyridine was easier than HDS of thiophene, which resulted in a high HDN/HDS selectivity. It is known that acidity of supports plays a positive role both in HDS and HDN. Thus, the Pt-Mo system was now deposited on a more acidic support than alumina, i.e. on an amorphous silica-alumina in attempt to further enhance the activities in both reactions. The objective was to find how acidic support may affect the catalytic properties of the Pt-Mo system.

    Průzkum hydrodesulfurizace a její inhibice hydrogenací (denitrogenací) na katalyzátorech obsahujících malá množství platiny. Vliv aktivní fáze, typ a modifikace nosiče silica - alumina, studium synergického efektu a inhibiční vliv HDN na HDS. Získané výsledky porovnány s výsledky získanými na konvenčních CoMo (NiMo) katalyzátorech.
