Annotation
Kapitola prezentuje výsledky třicet let ztraceného sociologického výzkumu hodnot a postojů československé populace (květen 1968, N=3500). Oproti oficiální interpretaci ukazuje, že: 1. Více než tři čtvrtiny populace tehdy zastávalo demokratické orientace; 2. Demokratické/nedemokratické štěpení neprobíhalo mezi členy a nečleny komunistické strany, ale napříč populací; 3. Slováci preferovali nacionální hodnoty před demokratickými, při celkové demokratické orientaci. 4. Lze usuzovat na základní demokratickou orientaci Čechů, manifestující se vždy v obdobích svobody.
Description in English
The chapter presents results of the 30 years lost sociological research the political values and attitudes Czech and Slovak population (May 1968, 3500 respondents). Despite prevailing interpretation this chapter shows: 1. About three-quarter of population (and members of the communist party too) supported the parliamentary democracy. 2. The cleavage between democratic -nondemocratic attitudes got across through all population, not exclusively between communists and non-communist. 3. The Slovaks preferred his national values, but in the common stood up for democratic values too. 4. As a matter of records and comparison can be concluded that value and attitudinal orientation of Czechs is democratic and the same was in the past.
