Description in English A review, supplemented with original results, is presented on the clearing vegetation of the Central Europe as for its climate and soil properties, phytosociology, community ecology, forest research, and population ecology of species of clear-cuts. Succession dynamics in clearings of different age was studied on permanent plots. The method of "space-for-time-substitution" was used as well. The succession rate depends on abiotic conditions (geology, soil properties, climate, etc), forestry management, initial state of cut forest and the age of clearign. It is most rapid in the initial stages on mineral rich substrate.
