Other papers dealt with total electron content measured using GPS signals and with GPS-based radio occultation measurements of electron density profiles using low Earth orbiting satellites. Behaviour of the ionosphere during geomagnetic storms and variability of the equatorial ionization anomaly were presented in other group of papers. Several papers dealt with modelling and observations of the topside ionosphere with particular attention to IRI and NeQuick models. Another topic was the lower ionosphere. Other group of papers presented new results in forecasting behaviour of the ionosphere. Some papers described testing of the IRI model with measurements, which showed strong and weak features of the IRI 2001 and partly of IRI 2007. Lower atmospheric forcing of the ionosphere via atmospheric waves and behaviour of electron temperature in the topside ionosphere was treated, as well.
