    AnnotationA thick lead target surrounded by uranium blanket was irradiated with 1 GeV protons. Measurement of the produced neutron field was performed by means of threshold reactions in activation foils. The experimental results were compared with Monte Carlo calculations performed with the MCNPX 2.6. C code.
