Artefacts originating in MR images due to metal and alloy dental works are explained, the relationships between chemical composition, magnetic properties, magnetic field strength, MR technique, shape, size and orientation of a metallic dental object and the resulting artefacts are discussed. The paper summarizes a series of experimental findings, including those concerning MR safety.

Článek vysvětluje vznik artefaktů v MR obrazech v důsledku přítomnosti kovových dentálních konstrukcí a rozebírá vztahy mezi chemickým složením, magnetickými vlastnostmi, indukcí magnetického pole, MR technikou, tvarem, velikostí a orientací kovového dentálního objektu a vznikajícími artefakty. Je podán přehled řady experimentálních poznatků, včetně těch, které souvisí s bezpečností MR vyšetření.
