Caspara Knittela SJ (1644-1702). Nejprve je čtenář uveden do Knittelovy techniky kazatelské tvorby, jak ji kazatel popisuje v jakémsi programovém úvodu k tištěné sbírce svých nedělních akademických kázání. Poté autor příspěvku pojednává o stereotypech, klišé a topoi, které se v argumentaci těchto kázání týkají žen, zvl. ve dvou kázáních pronesených na druhou a třetí neděli po sv. Duchu. Autor dochází k závěru, že navzdory novátorským tendencím v řečnickém umění kazatel Knittel vězel v tradičním misogynním diskurzu panujícím v duchovním prostředí jeho doby. Description in English The article deals with the portrayal of women in Sunday academic homilies of Caspar Knittel SJ (1644-1702). First, the reader is introduced to rhetorical techniques of Knittel’s orationes dominicae as described in the programmatic prologue to the printed collection of his academic homilies. Then the author discusses the stereotypes, clichés and topoi in the homilies concerning women, especially in two sermons delivered on the second and third Sunday after the Feast of Holy Spirit. It is shown that for all his rhetorical innovativeness, Knittel was stuck in the traditional misogynistic discourse prevailing in the clerical milieu of his time.
