Nejdynamičtěji se rozvíjející oblastí výzkumu minulých lidských populací je dnes určitě archeogenetika. Zatímco v r. 2017 byly známy genetické profily asi 1 000 pravěkých jedinců z celého světa, v r. 2023 budeme znát kolem 800 individuálních profilů jenom z území dnešních Čech. Vedle Britských ostrovů a Španělska patří Čechy momentálně, alespoň co se pravěku týče, k nejlépe archeogeneticky poznaným regionům na světě. V našem příspěvku se pokusíme přiblížit dosavadní výsledky projektů, na kterých se podílejí pracovníci Archeologického ústavu Akademie věd ČR v Praze, Antropologického oddělení Národního muzea a některých dalších českých institucí.

One of the most dynamically developing areas of research on past human populations today is undoubtedly archaeogenetics. The Czech Republic is currently one of the best archaeogenetically explored regions in the world, at least as far as prehistory is concerned. Almost 800 individual genetic profiles have been studied on this territory. Our contribution presents the conclusions of previous projects aimed at understanding the relationships between the representatives, the bearers of different archaeological cultures that lived here in prehistoric times on this territory.
