AnnotationWe have studied the morphology, hygroscopicity, phase behavior and spatially resolved composition of single particles containing an internal mixture of ammonium sulfate (AS), glycolic acid (GA), and polyethylene glycol of ˜300 g.mol-1 average molar mass (PEG-300) when exposed to hydration and dehydration conditions at a constant temperature. PEG-300 was chosen as a model component for oligomers in atmospheric aerosols.
