Po technické stránce se na její přípravě podílela Katedra geomatiky Fakulty stavební (FSv) ČVUT. Aplikace vytvořená v prostředí geografických informačních systémů (GIS) ukazuje, do jaké míry se odlišovalo znázornění česko-německé národnostní hranice na jednotlivých mapách české, německé i rakouské provenience v období od poloviny 19. století do 30. let 20. století. Umožňuje vzájemně komparovat konkrétní průběh této hranice na třech desítkách vybraných národnostních map a sledovat tak míru manipulace v rámci kartografické produkce jednotlivých národů. Ve výběru figurují jak mapy znázorňující etnickou hranici korektně, tak mapy vysoce manipulativní. Zasazení do širšího historického kontextu usnadňují připojené vrstvy soudobého administrativního členění státu (státní nebo zemské hranice, hranice krajů a okresů). Description in English The map application originated at the Institute of History (HÚ) of the Czech Academy of Sciences as one of the main outputs of the project National Diversity on the Maps of Czech Lands – Cartographic Image and Reality supported by the programme Strategie AV 21, Memory in the Digital Age, 2020, Digital Humanities. Department of Geomatics, Faculty of Civil Engineering (FSv) CTU participated in the technical solution of the map application. The application, created in a Geographic information system (GIS), shows the differences between the representation of the Czech-German national border on the various maps of Czech, German and Austrian provenance between the mid-19th century and the 1930s. It allows comparing the specific course of this boundary on three dozen selected national maps, thus monitoring the level of manipulation within the cartographic production of individual nations. The selection includes both maps showing the ethnic boundary correctly and highly manipulative maps. The attached layers depict the current administrative structure of the state (state, land, province and district boundaries).
