Ivo Pospíšil se zařazuje k nejvýraznějším osobnostem současné české slavistiky. Jeho zatím poslední monografii tvoří necelé tři desítky textů rozdělených do tří tematických okruhů (I. Kritika, II. Metodika a III. Historie, Teorie, Metodologie), které zahrnují širokou a interdisciplinárně pojatou oblast soudobého myšlení o literatuře.

Ivo Pospíšil is one of the most prominent personalities of contemporary Czech Slavic studies. Is latest monograph consists of less than thirty texts divided into three thematic areas (I. Criticism, II. Methodology and III. History, Theory, Methodology), which include a broad and interdisciplinary area of contemporary thinking about literature.
