Kniha časově navazuje na analytické a ediční zpracování tématu vývoje vztahu T. G. Masaryka se Slováky (slovenskými veřejnými činiteli), v tomto svazku pro období 1918–1937. V ediční části je zařazeno 279 dokumentů, převážně dopisů a telegramů, ale také řada memorand a žádostí, se kterými se různé slovenské veřejné korporace, spolky nebo i jednotlivci obraceli na prezidenta republiky. Soubor dokumentů je doplněn úvodní studií, edičním úvodem, seznamem korespondence, jmenným rejstříkem, cizojazyčným resumé a krátkou obrazovou přílohou. Publikace tak prostřednictvím vybrané korespondence dokumentuje vztah T. G. Masaryka ke Slovensku a slovenským veřejným činitelům v letech první Československé republiky.

The chronological analysis and edition of documents on the development of T.G. Masaryk’s relationship with Slovaks (or Slovak public officials) continues with this volume focusing on the 1918–1937 period. The edition part includes 279 documents, mainly letters and telegrams, but also memos and requests, sent to the President of the Republic by different Slovak public institutions, societies or individuals. The collection of documents is supplemented by an introductory paper, the editorial note, a list of the correspondence, an index of names, a summary in another language, and a short appendix with images. Through the selected correspondence, the book documents the attitude of T. G. Masaryk towards Slovakia and Slovak public officials in the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic.
