Nonlinear elastic wave spectroscopy (NEWS) methods were used to classify the presence of two types of pre-determined defects in Ti-6Al-4V prismatic samples fabricated by Electron Beam Melting (EBM) system. Relatively simple experimental facilities were used to interrogate samples with ultrasonic frequencies and record their response. The best classification of samples porosity were obtained by nonlinear wave modulation method with chirp excitation and by ratio of 3rd to 2nd harmonics growth with excitation amplitude.
