Cílem webových stránek je představit širší veřejnosti nejzajímavější archeologické památky na území ČR a umožnit zájemci je navštívit a pochopit. Stránky vycházejí ze dvou vydaných knih a dalších zdrojů, které v některých ohledech dále rozšiřují. Na stránkách Archeologického atlasu ČR lze nalézt stručný popis archeologických lokalit, jejich geografické souřadnice, galerii fotografií, mapy a plány ke stažení a výběr odborných i populárních článků ve fulltextové podobě.

The aim of the website is to present some of the most typical archaeological sites on the territory of the CR and to enable the interested public to recognize them in the field and understand their contents. The website is based on two published books and other sources but in some respects, it broadens the scope of them. On this website, it is possible to find short descriptions of the selected sites, their geographic coordinates, photo galleries, maps and plans for download and a choice of full-text articles for further reading.
