Primární funkcí demonstrativních zájmen je kontextová deixe, tedy ukazování a odkazování v promluvě směrem dopředu či dozadu. V určitých kontextech, zejména v projevech neformálních a mluvených, je rozsah reference širší a převahy nabývají emocionalizační, intenzifikační aj. funkce. Článek se věnuje nedeiktickým funkcím demonstrativa ten, jejich dosavadnímu ztvárnění v jednojazyčných výkladových slovnících a předkládá návrh podoby nedeiktických lexií lexému ten pro vznikající Akademický slovník současné češtiny (ASSČ).

The primary function of Czech demonstrative pronouns is a discourse deixis, i.e. referring to an upcoming portion of the discourse or to a prior portion of the discourse. In some special discourses, the deictic nature of the demonstrative pronouns gets blurred, and the emotional, accentual etc. function acquires superiority. The subject of this paper is non-deictic functions of Czech demonstrative pronoun ten, their processing in the Czech monolingual dictionaries, with proposed processing of the lexeme ten in the Academic Dictionary of Contemporary Czech.
