This work describes for the first time the combination of electrophoretic focusing on inverse electromigration dispersion (EMD) gradient with electrospray-ionization mass spectrometric detection (ESI-MS). In the electrophoretic part, each analyte is focused by the system at a particular position of the migrating gradient, thus concentrated and separated from other analytes.
