Chlorophyll is a green foliar pigment, which plays an important role in photosynthesis. Chlorophyll concentration in plants varies during the year. Chlorophyll concentration responds to leaf physiological stress and overall concentration of Cab can be used as a proxy of vegetation health status. The HyperRetrieval software offers possibility of chlorophyll concentration estimation in plant tissues from airborne hyperspectral imagery. The software package calibrates itself on special spectral libraries (lookup tables) which are in turn applied to the hyperspectral imagery. Using prepared spectral libraries makes possible to estimate chlorophyll content for users unskilled in remote sensing techniques. The software was successfully tested on airborne hyperspectral imagery from Šumava national park and spectral libraries simulated by DART model.
