For the experiments reactor of needle-to-plate electrode geometry was used and the effects of underwater discharge on degradation of nonylphenols in dependence on solution conductivity (100 and 500 µS/cm) have been investigated. Quantitative analyses of nonylphenols were performed using HPLC. Mechanism of plasma induced degradation of nonylphenols has been suggested. OH radicals have been proposed to be the primary oxidation agent of nonylphenols removal.
