Our results suggest that multiple modes of action contribute to downregulation of Cx43 in PCB 153-treated rat liver epithelial cells. The enhanced degradation of Cx43, together with persistent inhibition of gap junctional intercellular communication, might contribute to tumor-promoting effects of non-dioxin-like PCBs.
Naše výsledky naznačují, že ke snížení hladiny konexinu 43 v jaterních epiteliálních buňkách potkana ovlivněných PCB 153 přispívá více mechanismů. Posílená degradace konexinu 43, spolu s trvalou inhibicí mezibuněčné komunikace zprostředkované mezerovými spoji by mohla přispívat k nádorově promočním účinkům nedioxinových PCB.
