Escapes of mantle derived CO2 and 3He concentrate in two tectonically different crust edifices – in the Cheb Basin and in allochtonous block of the lower crust called the Mariánské Lázně Complex. Rejuvenated mantle junction of three microplates assembled during the Variscan orogeny plays crucial role for paths of Cenozoic volcanism and for active migration of mantle volatiles from the asthenosphere to the crust.
Výrony plášťového CO2 a 3He se soustřeďují do dvou korových jednotek – chebské pánve a allochtonního bloku spodní kůry nazývaného mariánsko-lázeňský komplex. Nejdůležitější roli pro kenozoický vulkanismus a aktivní migraci plášťových plynů z astenosféry do kůry hraje omlazený plášťový styk tří mikrodesek navzájem spojených během variské orogeneze.
