    We present a detailed analysis of the ductile versus brittle response of bcc iron containing a sharp crack and show that a continuum model based on the Peierls-Nabarro model for dislocation formation is consistent with our atomistic results.

    V článku je podrobná analýza tvárně-křehké odezvy v alfa železe obsahujícím ostrou trhlinu (-110)[110]. Ukazujeme, že model kontinua založený na Peierls-Nabarrově modelu pro generaci dislokací je konzistentní s našimi atomárními výsledky.
