V době pandemie je respekt k autonomii pacienta upozaděn. Do hry vstupují jiné principy, které princip autonomie pro situaci, kdy je omezen počet vzácných zdrojů, převáží. Znamená to ale, že je princip respektu k autonomii zcela opuštěn? A pokud ne, což je zde navrhovaná odpověď, jakým způsobem je omezen, a jak je respektován? Prezentace se zabývá problematikou informovaného souhlasu a jeho možným omezením v době pandemie

T. Doležal prezentoval příspěvek Ochrana veřejného zdraví a autonomie pacienta. Má v probíhající pandemii COVID-19 informovaný souhlas místo?
Tato přednáška se zamýšlí nad tím, zda v situaci probíhající pandemie COVID-19 má informovaný souhlas takovou pozici, jako měl před vypuknutím pandemie. Je zjevné, že ochrana veřejného zdraví je v současné situaci hodnotou, která je upřednostňována před některými tradičními hodnotami - např. autonomií pacienta. Je ovšem otázka, jak dalece může být tento klíčový aspekt moderního vztahu lékaře a pacienta upozaděn a zda se to nějak projeví na institutu informovaného souhlasu.

Limitation of Patient Autonomy during a Pandemic and Modification of Informed Consent.

During a pandemic, respect for the patient's autonomy is lagging behind. In the situation where the number of scarce resources is limited, other principles come into play. These principles will outweigh the principle of autonomy. But does this mean that the principle of respect for autonomy is completely abandoned? And if not, which is the answer proposed here, how is it limited and how is it respected? The presentation deals with the issue of informed consent and its possible limitations during a pandemic.

Protection of public health and patient autonomy. Does informed consent have a place in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic?
This lecture considers whether informed consent is in the same position in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic as it was before the pandemic broke out. It is clear that in the current situation, protecting public health is a value that is being prioritized over some traditional values - such as patient autonomy. However, the question is how far this key aspect of the modern doctor-patient relationship can be neglected and whether this will have any effect on the institution of informed consent.
