Publikace se věnuje pražskému malíři Janu Jiřímu Heinschovi, a to zejména v souvislosti s jezuitským řádem. Pozornost je věnována nejen jeho životu, ale i jeho obrazům, které jsou v mnoha případech veřejnosti prezentovány poprvé. Malířovo dílo je navíc zasazeno také do kontextu jezuitské spirituality a ikonografie.

The publication focuses on the Prague painter Jan Jiří Heinsch, especially in connection with the Society of Jesus. Attention is paid not only to his life but also to paintings, which are, for the most part, presented to the public for the first time. Moreover, the painter's work is also set in the context of Jesuit spirituality and iconography.
