Výstava přibližuje události revolučního roku 1989 prostřednictvím dění na půdě tehdejší Československé akademie věd (ČSAV). Tento zásadní mezník přitom zasazuje do širšího kontextu tehdejšího politického a společenského vývoje Československa, a to od období normalizace přes tzv. přestavbu až po počátky tranzice. Hlavní pozornost je věnována dynamickému podzimu 1989, tedy převratným změnám v rámci struktur ČSAV, zakládání občanských fór a reflexi nových výzev po pádu komunistického režimu.

The exhibition presents the events of the revolutionary year 1989 on the example of the events at the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (ČSAV). The significant milestone is put in a broader context of the political and social developments in Czechoslovakia from the Normalisation period through the Perestroika up to the beginning of the transition. The main focus is on the dynamic autumn of 1989 with revolutionary changes to the ČSAV organisation, establishment of civic forums, and new challenges after the fall of Communism.
