Airborne determinations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at three to four different levels of the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) were performed by Proton Transfer Reaction – Time of Flight - Mass Spectrometer (PTR-MS-TOF) at noon of four summer days in four different rural and forest sites of the southern part of Czech Republic, where surface determinations of meteorological parameters and gas exchange of CO2 were also performed. The PTR-TOF-MS was modified and adapted to fit in a small Cessna Caravan airplane, providing a cheap alternative to larger aircrafts.
