V současné době, po několika odborných diskusích a představení alternativního návrhu koncepce kultivace jazyka, lze však mezi lingvisty pozorovat určitý úpadek zájmu o jazykovou kulturu a proměnu vztahu k ní. Autor v této kapitole uplatňuje praktické zkušenosti zejména z jazykového poradenství a naznačuje možné příčiny daného stavu, podává vlastní současný pohled na věc a naznačuje perspektivy teorie jazykové kultury pro budoucnost. Description in English This chapter focuses on the current situation of language theory cultivation in the Czech Republic. Theory of language cultivation founded by the Prague School is a discipline that has traditionally been in the centre of attention among both Czech and foreign linguists and its outcomes became renowned internationally as well. In present days, after several discussions and after introducing an alternative concept of language cultivation, the author sees certain decline in attention being paid to the discipline and the change of attitudes towards language cultivation among lin guists. Mainly from the viewpoint of a linguist experienced in language cultivation, the author analyses possible causes of the current state, presenting own views on the matter and outlining the future challenges of the theory of language cultivation.
